I’ve got an idea for a project, which will either consist of me getting a load of cheap computers to cluster or a bunch of XBOXes not sure which yet. I’ll have to see what kind of computer I can get for around £20 each and if it beats a comparable XBOX from ebay.
So, in order to get funding for that I’m going to put up my google ad conten again in a couple of days as well as my paypal donation link!
Not sure what I’m going to do with the cluster, but having one and being able to say you’ve got one would be nice, as well as having all that processing power. I’d prefer to go the XBOX way, because even though they are big, they’re still fairly compact compared to your standard PC.
Now I like technology news sites as much as the next guy, but and this might just be me, digg seems to be run by a bunch of Mac and Ubuntu fanboys. The last few posts on the front page at the time of writing are either about Ubuntu, Macs or some torrent site which doesn’t work.

Some of you may be aware that I contacted MIT about a computer on their network a couple of days ago. For those of you that don’t, the computer in question is: cum-guzzling-sluts.mit.edu (18.243.0.237).

I saw a couple of pictures of signs saying that no under 18s would be admitted into the Linux World Expo, I’m going to keep a look out for similar ones at the Expo over here in Lonond in October, in case they’re doing the same over here (they probably will).
I don’t remember there being any signs of that nature when I went there last year, I also don’t remember if you had to specify a DOB at the site as I was 18 at the time anyway so it wouldn’t have mattered, still it seems a little harsh, considering the large amount of under 18s using Linux. On the other hand, it makes sense considering a large part of the expo is aimed at businesses, and the various talks do cost a lot of money so I’m assuming most of them have their employers cover them.
So concluding, even if having signs explicitly stating that no under 18s would be admitted if a little harsh do make sense if 70-80% of your customers are going to come from a business environment, who’d probably expect that sort of thing.
Looks like I can import stuff from other blog services into here, might import my old LJ posts, not sure if I want to though, I have no idea how this will handle my friends only and private posts.
I’d like some feedback on the theme, tell me if you like it, if not I’ll try and find something better in the next few days, this is only experimental right now, and nothing permanent, I expect it to be changing my theme on a regular basis.
That being said if enough people don’t like any of my themes, I’ll change it as soon as possible.
I’ve decided to install WordPress to the root of my site after playing around with hit yesterday. My website was more or less a glorified blog anyway, with me posting random things from time to time, and linking to sites belonging to friends and things which interest me.
I can do the same with WordPress and have a much better interface to post things from, and one which allowed for comments, without having to make it myself, which would probably be a pain (or not), might try it though should I ever get around to learning PHP.
If I want to add pages for various projects I can continue to do so, and make them fit in.
All I really have left to do is reinserting my ad content and making a favicon.
