Retarded advertisers

You all know that I sometimes do sponsored posts through PPP, and advertisers have the ability to affect my overall rating and which posts I can take, this can obviously have a negative effect as well, so let’s look at some feedback left by PayPerPost advertisers in the form of “bans”:

Would rather not have a link on rampant-sex.com!!

We’re obviously dealing with an idiot here, if you don’t want a link from me why don’t you reject the post? Or better yet? Why not email me about it! I’d be more than happy to remove the post linking to your crappy site with your even worse product if you informed me in the first place. Not to mention the fact that this person used more than one exclamation mark which labels them as an idiot in my book.

Holy Cow! Not only is it a blog that says it’s about nothing but sex, they put up a post that doesn’t have a single word. NOTHING BUT A TITLE. Oh, but they did put up related google ads. I’m turning off the whole campaign because of them. This is absolutely ridiculous!!!!

Here we have another idiot, who obviously didn’t look at the plethora of posts I had at the time this was posted, the 12th of December 2006, so I had a title could it be that I was rewriting the post in question? Which obviously wasn’t the sponsored post or they would have mentioned it, unless they’re as retarded as I think they are. OR it could have been some kind of mistake? Humans do make mistakes from time to time, IT’S NATURAL. Obviously a complete fucktard.

Not the correct market - stated it had to be a family related site, and only had one view.

I’m not family friendly? What exactly denoted family friendly? A bunch of fucking teddy bears?

Anyway, if you have problems with my posts, and you’re the advertiser how about you take it up with me? I’m not hard to contact considering my contact details are plastered all over this blog.

Assholes.

Weed

Filed under: General, Random geekery — Andreas May 15, 2007 @ 8:36 pm

I’ve noticed that I had a lot of outgoing clicks going to ‘Weed’s blog, which is obviously a good thing for her because she’s getting some traffic from me.

Either people are interested in what I link to, and want to read her blog which is cool and something I encourage, or they see the link, read “‘Weed” and think Marijuana, which is probably the case.

‘Weed in her context comes from Milkweed and I really don’t know how she feels about people trying to look up drug information on her blog, probably bemused.

Anyway going from that, I have now added a link to the Nirvana Seed Company for people who are looking for Marijuana related products, or just general information about it.

So if you are looking at her blog for those reasons, why not add to your seed collection by following the following link?
Nirvana in/outdoor

Enjoy in any case.

Celebrity Dating

Filed under: Blogverts — Andreas @ 8:28 pm

Actress, Mirelly Taylor, has appeared on movies such as Kiss Me Again and Serving Sara and television shows including “Las Vegas”, “Punk’d”, and “Numb3rs”.

The contest will be running on gofish.com for the next 14 weeks, where hopefuls can submit their own videos in order to be in with a chance of being the lucky winner.

For those of you who don’t know what GoFish is, you can get Free videos at GoFish.com and is therefore similar to all the other free video services out there, except they don’t offer you a chance to win a date with Mirelly Taylor!

I’m sure you’ll want to know my thoughts about it, and to be honest I’m not surprised, with so many reality TV programs out there it was only a matter of time that one would involve its audience through online content, especially with today’s prevalence of the ‘net. As viewers are able to submit their own videos they actually become part of the program itself, again an internet first and highly innovative.

So if you’ve always wanted to date a celebrity, and let’s face it who hasn’t?

Now is your chance to do it, so go on and enter the contest!

Personally I think the guy who looks a bit like Elvis will probably win…

Time for an update

After handing in a piece of coursework yesterday, which I sadly had to rush because my teacher decided to move up our deadline rather than sacrificing her weekend, which I don’t understand as she’ll presumably mark it all over the weekend before sending it off to the exam board…I decided it was time for a little update.

Nothing much has happened recently although my Google PR is now 3 which is rather neat and only happened after a recent update

I also got paid for one of my PPP posts recently and should get more money over the next few days, which will go into a custom t-shirt with the AACS hex code on it as a joke…and it appears someone else had the idea and tried to sell some on cafepress before having it removed. That really doesn’t surprise me as there’s a difference between a one off for personal use and someone trying to capitalise on it.

On Wednesday I got around to buying a mountain bike, it’s nothing special but it’ll get me around town, although I still need to adjust the gears as they’re a little funky right now, but I did get it for under half price which I found rather cool. All I really need to do now is to get a lock on it so I can actually use it to commute with.

That’s about it really, back to revision for me!

I’m sure some of you wanted a more in depth explanation of what this hex string is, and why it’s currently so important, as I previously stated it’s the key which enables most AACS secured discs to be decrypted.

Funnily enough it was leaked by accident by the people behind the system, and as is so often the case is now being leaked across the internet in an attempt to keep this information public.

The “injured party” as far as I’m aware is currently busy filling out DMCA notices against every offending site, something which is going to cost them a lot of time and money, and I’ll probably fall victim of it at some point myself but we’ll just have to cross that bridge when we get there.

What really intrigues me is how you can legally copyright a string of hex, sadly with the server my domain is hosted on being in the US I’m bound to US copyright law, and everyone knows that the Americans are a strange bunch of people. We also have to remember that we live in a world where people can patent enzymes anyone has in their body, and can as a result make a lot of money if other people want to use said enzymes in a laboratory environment, so even though it is morally objectionable it wouldn’t surprise me if it is in fact copyrightable.

So much for personal freedoms, personally I’m wondering how long it’ll take for someone to knock up a bunch of t-shirts with the string on it and parade it in public.

Forced Update

Well I got pushed into making an update so here goes:

I decided to walk home today because it was such a nice day, and even though I wore my Defcon tshirt (The one with the nuclear sub at the front and a warhead striking London on the back) no one said anything, I wasn’t shot at nor was I arrested!
But I’m not too sure about the flower van parked on the other side of the street…

In other news someone I went to school with several years ago was recently sentenced to life in prison with a minimum of 14 years. You’re obviously asking yourself why, well turns out he was totally “gangsta” and the other boy invaded his “hood” which justified stabbing him in the chest so hard that the knife broke. The full article can be found here.

I don’t really consider my school a bad school, I always liked it and only stayed at their sixth form because I couldn’t be bothered to go somewhere else, and I like the science department, we’re also one of the few which still do Nuffield Chemistry which is either a good thing or a very bad thing depending on how you look at it!

That being said this isn’t the first violent crime which I know of in association with our school (albeit fairly broad), two years ago a teacher was raped by one of the students on what I think was her third day there. Something which I never understood, I had always assumed everyone there was pretty normal. That being said, our school invested heavily in new entry systems for certain class rooms, as well as new and large gates and fences afterwards.

Fences and the like obviously protect against attacks from within!

Reminds me of a few years ago when people started to realise that data could be stolen from within a company on an iPod and that what ever money the company had spent on computer security against outside threats were useless…

Oh and before I forget, I might look into buying a Salvia Divinorum plant on the cheap just because I want to grow some indoors as an experiment, not to smoke!

Obviously anyone reading this will automatically think of me as some kind of druggie, oh well.
