Job stuff
I didn’t enjoy working in a call centre last year, it was boring stressful work which involved trying to somehow make a connection with utter retards, just to complete your set target of crap per day, going weeks without hitting anything; so complete crap.
Sure, working for £8/h was nice, but since I only worked 3-4 hours a day that hardly mattered.
On Monday I’ll be going on a course, which upon passing (How ridiculously hard it is to pass get 28/40 questions right </sarcasm>[Could be 60...]) and after paying SIA an exorbitant fee, I’ll be a fully licensed security guard/bouncer…door supervisor.
It will mean that whilst I may not necessarily earn more per hour, I’ll put in more hours over the summer, so I’ll make more than about £200 a week.
Not to mention that I’ll get a lot of time to read up on course related material in the dead of night, hopefully.
We shall see, I think it might be interesting and at the very least it’s another qualification, and one I can use to work part-time with friends in Leicester but make more money in the same venue.
