A strange thing at work

As mentioned earlier I am working in the building of a large Taiwanese shipping company this week and they are still using anti bacterial hand gel here unlike a lot of other places I have used.

One thing I have noticed is even though the bottle we have here is meant to contain an attractive clear isopropyl based spirigel type product, this is no longer the case.

Instead we have a milky white viscous liquid (not a gel however) which judging from smell alone contains none or very little isopropyl alcohol.

Rather strange isn’t it?
I suspect that the building manager in an effort to cut corners/costs has had the
cleaning staff water it down and then add some kind of industrial solvent/alcohol in order to get a high alcohol content into it.
Personally I would no longer use this although probably still effective at what it is meant to be doing it will be a lot worse for your skin than what was originally in the bottle since there is no way of knowing what they have added and what additives may have been contained in the substance.
